Every year, millions of consumer, commercial and industrial products are printed with NSF logo, which has been trusted by consumers, insiders and manufacturers for many years. The purpose of NSF is to develop and implement management plans for public health and the environment for services, research and education. As a reliable and neutral organization, NSF provides services for government, industry and consumers to solve public health and environmental problems. NSF's technical resources include testing equipment and analytical chemistry and microbiology laboratories. NSF professionals include engineers, chemists, toxicologists, public health scientists and computer scientists with extensive experience in public health, food safety, water quality and the environment. NSF issued certification by the American National Standards Association (ANSI) and Canadian Standards Committee (SCC) as their own national standards.

NSF, as a neutral third party, has been approved and certified by 13 national or industry authoritative organizations, including American National Standards Institute (ANSI), American Occupational Safety and health administration, Canadian National Standards Commission, etc. NSF is the designated cooperation center of the World Health Organization (who) in food safety and drinking water safety and treatment. Products tested by NSF and meeting NSF Standard can be authorized to use NSF logo. Therefore, products authorized to bear NSF logo mean that the product is confirmed in the following aspects:

1. It can achieve the ability of removing impurities indicated in the product manual;

2. The material of the product will not add pollution components to the water in the process of water treatment;

3、 Meet the design and production process requirements;

4. There are no structural and functional defects in the product;

5. The certification standards shown in the advertisement, sample data and logo of the product are true and accurate.

NSF certification system is of great significance to people in the industry, consumers and manufacturers. NSF, a credible, objective and independent third-party monitoring organization recognized by the public and the government, has tested and verified that the products comply with specific standards, which means that the products with the logo are strictly tested and guaranteed to consumers. All units participating in NSF certification system must be tested, retested and inspected / audited by a third party. When manufacturing units produce products, they must follow the open standards. Standards include product manufacturing related standards, materials, design, process, etc.

At the same time, NSF requires that if a company wants to print NSF logo on its products, it must comply with the strict requirements of NSF certification and authorization. These requirements include initial and periodic testing and evaluation, and even the use of unannounced inspections. If it is found that the logo is misused, or the product fails to comply with the demand, NSF may seize and seal up the product and inventory goods, or even destroy the unqualified product, put it on the blacklist, and take recall, legal action, inform the public, cancel the certification qualification or other severe actions. NSF represents the interests of all parties, will control the behavior of people in the bank, consumers and manufacturers, and supervise the implementation of policies and the authority of certification.
